We will sleep in the newly rennovated Education Building at Pleasant Hill. Getting a good nights sleep is important so please bring the appropriate bedding that will make you comfortable. This might include a mattress of some sort (no larger than a twin size please), cot, sleeping bag with padded mat or other means of padding your sleep space. You should also bring a pillow; we will not have any extras. PLEASE TAKE THIS SERIOUSLY, our floors are hard! Sleeping space will be separated by girls and boys; there will be no boys on the girls side and no girls on the boys side, NO EXCEPTIONS!
There are no shower facilities at Pleasant Hill; we will shower at the Fort Mill YMCA. Please be assured the facilities will be available at appropriate times. You will be provided transportation to and from the shower. All campers will go straight from their home work site to the showers so bring a backpack or some other means of carrying your grooming aids. This should probably include a fresh change of clothes, towel and toiletries such as deodorant and soap. Bathroom space at Pleasant Hill is limited so bring a small mirror to use in your living area for applying make-up or when drying hair. Bring at least 5 sets of clothes you don't mind getting dirty and closed toe shoes to work in, no one will be allowed to work in flip flops. The church is air conditioned so you will not need a fan. Bring a light blanket just to make sure you are comfortable at night.
All meals will be provided with the exception of lunch on the first and last Saturdays of camp; breakfast will be served on the last Saturday. All other meals will be served at Pleasant Hill or one of the other supporting churches. You will only need to bring money for personal snacks or for lunch on the first Saturday of camp and on your return trip home at the close of camp.
Other camp rules will be covered as part of your orientation at the start of camp; we look forward to seeing you then!!!
